An adjective is a word that adds to
the meaning of a noun
Eg: a good book, a broken leg, a red flower, ten pens, a dancing doll.

Eg: There are fifty students in the

Demonstrative Adjectives :A demonstrative adjective points out
which person or thing is meant
Eg: I want that book, These apples
are sweet.
Distributive Adjectives: A distributive adjective refers to
each one of a number
Eg: Answer each question in the
lines, Every man must do his duty.
Possessive Adjectives: A possessive adjective refers to the
ownership.
Eg: This is my watch, It is their
duty.
Interrogative Adjectives: An interrogative adjectives is used
in the question
Eg: Whose book is it?, How much
money do you want?
Position of Adjectives : An adjective is used before the noun
it qualifies
Eg: Hercules is a brave man, A tiger
is a cruel animal
In some cases an adjective is used
after the noun or pronoun it qualifies
Eg: Please meet the clerk concerned,

In some cases an adjective is placed
after the verb
